                        Drivers Training Permit:

                   The following information will make the process of purchasing the Drivers Permit

go more smoothly. This is information given to our district from the Shoshone

County sheriff’s office.

·       Permits may be obtained at the sheriff’s office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

·       Permits Must Be Purchased Before May 1st, 2006.

 

Requirements For Purchasing A Permit:

1.           The student must complete and have the school principal or his designee sign the “Verification of  Compliance form”. Take this signed form with you to the sheriff’s office.

2.          The student MUST have an “Eye Examination” given by the sheriff’s deputy.

3.          Your “Social Security Number” is required. It is NOT mandatory that the actual card be brought.

4.          You will need “Proof of Age” such as an ORIGINAL (not a copy) “Birth Certificate” NOTE: Hospital records of birth are NOT acceptable. Certified Birth Certificates can be ordered through the Bureau of Vital Statistics.     

5.          Idaho Law REQUIRES “One Parent MUST accompany their child to obtain the permit”. NOTE: Stepparents signatures are NOT allowed under IDAHO CODE unless legal guardianship is obtained.

6.           Picture Identification (school yearbook, student body card, church directory, etc…) are acceptable picture identifications.

7.           The FEE for the permit is $33.50.

 

District Requirements:  

·          The next meeting will be May 3rd at 10-minute break for in-District students. (I will contact out of district students by phone regarding the meeting). In-District Students will be required to submit a Refundable $50.00 fee, which will be returned if the student remains in the program for the full amount of time required (June 3rd tentative dates). You will pay at the District office on or before May 3rd.

·           Out-of-District Students will pay the fee typically assessed in their home District. You will pay at The District office in Mullan on or before May 3rd.

·          The 1st Class meeting will be Saturday June 3rd at 9:00 a.m. Permits must be purchased by May 1, 2006 to verify a place in class. If there are any special circumstances please notify me to verify your enrollment.
