The Women of Water Power Foundation is offering 11scholarships during 2001 that will
total $14,000.

Those eligible are sons and daughters, legal dependents and financially dependent,,

grandchildren of full-time, regularly scheduled part time, retired or deceased employees

of AVISTA Utilities. These scholarships are available to graduating seniors in high
school and to others furthering their education beyond the high school years.

A $2,500 scholarship, a $2,000 scholarship, three $1,500 and four $1,000 scholarships
will be awarded to students planning to attain a bachelor's degree. Two $500 scholarships
will be awarded to students planning to enroll in a vocational/technical program. Judging
will be based 70% on scholastic achievement and 30% on extracurricular activities. If
you have students in your schools who are eligible would you please encourage them to
